The vase that was chosen resembled a hat with subtle stripes. Attention was first directed toward its details. Particular interest was taken in the small cracks in the ceramic that became visible when lit from behind. Another notable detail was the black stripes, which were not perfectly straight but appeared like brushstrokes. For this reason, only a specific section of the vase was photographed to clearly highlight this second detail.
For these shots, two white flashes with a slightly cool tone were used, so as not to distort the neutral colors of the scene.
